Dario Ghilardi

Hi, I'm Dario, I'm an engineering manager and programmer from Bergamo, Italy, with two decades of hands-on engineering behind me. I enjoy working on software products, from architecture and infrastructure to the UI/UX people actually interact with.

Currently, I'm CTO at NablaFlow AS, where I lead a fully distributed team at the intersection of software, aerodynamics and high performance computing to make wind simulations more accessible and easier to use. Our mission is to help engineers design faster vehicles, more efficient tools, and more comfortable and safer cities.

I'm a BEAM enthusiast: Elixir, Erlang, and the ecosystem around them. Software is genuinely my hobby as much as my job. Whenever I can I still drop into the code to help the team.

Previously, I worked as a team lead and software engineer across different environments: corporate, at Fidor Bank in Germany; startups, at VIU Eyewear in Switzerland; and as a consultant for various agencies. Those years shaped how I believe teams should work: clear strategy, measurable results, honest communication, and a culture where experiments and learning are first-class, not afterthoughts.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and running, traveling the world and spending time with Barbara.
